cpl 2.0 twitter
I get asked all the time to post our programs on twitter, but I have not yet seen a corresponding increase in attendance with the increased 'promotion' on facebook or twitter. i would find it distracting to get tweets all the time - so i don't get it.
CPL 2.0 Library Thing
I've tried to use this site in the past, but i sometimes find it's too much info for me. I prefer boutique to superstore for my info. I also think it focuses a lot on what's hot and popular - things i try to avoid if i have to be on hold forever for my books!
CPL 2.0
I can see Google docs and others replacing MS software in the future. I do struggle sometimes with google docs, etc. because I'm used to other software and it can be a bit wierd adjusting even to small differences and habits, but MS changes their versions too - so it's all good.
CPL 2.0 Youtube
Comment on the quality, entertainment value, or usefulness of the content on these sites.
I am not a photographer, so Flickr is o.k., but not a site I would use that often. Youtube i love because you can get 'instructional videos' on how to do just about anything. I found a great video on how to make ghee (clarified butter) and a recipe for a 4 ingredient dessert. It's also great if you miss your favourite show on t.v., sometimes you can watch 'highlights', or see a music video or concert footage. I love it!!!

CPL 2.0 RSS
I have used RSS feeds in the past, and I can find them a bit of an info overload, but I'm going to try bloglines and see what happens! I was able to set it up without any trouble.
CPL 2.0 Google
I use I Google as my home start up page, and I love that I can edit it to my personal preferences. I also use Google maps, including street view and google earth all the time. It's great for locating green spaces to walk my dog in other cities, towns or in new communities in Calgary.
CPL 2.0 Facebook
For you, is Facebook useful or a time-waster?
Facebook is a time-waster. I don't want to know what people are doing every minute, and I don't want to have to update my 'status' all the time either.
I am a luddite in this respect...

For you, is Facebook useful or a time-waster?
I don't have a personal account because I think it is too much management for what I would get out of it. Maybe if I was retired, or had my own business, or a hobby I wanted to share with someone...

Wikipedia
Were you able to find a topic obscure enough that Wikipedia doesn’t cover it? If so, congratulations! If you managed to publish an article, comment on the process.
No! I didn't find an obscure enough topic, but i know in the past when i have looked for some things they were not there - i just can't remember what it is i was looking for!

2.0 leslie adams
What are the advantages of storing, sharing, and tagging web content this way? What are the disadvantages?
I like the visual nature of delicious, but the downside is a searcher might look at the big, "most popular" items first - and miss other content.
